It's becoming quite popular these days to kill yourself on the internet so that countless others may watch. Without further ado, I give you my death:
This rater UNCONVINCING footage was a part of a test shoot that me and Chris Prine filmed to work out the kinks with a digital blood effect.
Here's how we did it:
We took a squeeze-bottle full of ketchup and squirted it several times while in front of a green-screen. Then, Chris keyed out the green background during editing and placed the squirts (sped up and closer together) over some footage. Watch out for shadows! Casting shadows will make your green-screen footage look like shit after the green has been keyed out.
Originally this blood effect was just going to be used in "Scissor Cop: Episode #3" when Billy stabs his eye out, but we've used it again in "Scissor Cop: Episode #5" and AGAIN in "Scissor Cop: Episode #6".
